UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrian cut ties with Qatar

According to recent updates, Gulf states including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrian cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and kicked it out of a military coalition, accusing them of supporting terrorism.

This all happened in less than a month after US President Donald Trump visited the country to strengthen ties with Saudi Arabia.

In region’s most serious diplomatic crisis in years, Qatar’s Gulf neighbors Riyadh, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates, as well as Egypt, they all were announced to cut ties with gas-rich Qatar, giving Qatari visitors and residents two weeks to leave their countries.

Riyadh cut its relations with Qatar, also closed all land, sea and aviation relations as well.

It has also been revealed that Saudi Arabia accused Qatar of backing militant groups and spreading their violent ideology.

Qatar said it regretted the coordinated decision by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to cut diplomatic relations, according to Qatar-based al Jazeera TV.

“The measures are unjustified and are based on claims and allegations that have no basis in fact,” the network quoted.

Qatar said the decisions would not affect the normal lives of citizens and residents.
