Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar has recently announced that 25 development schemes will be proceeded for the betterment of city’s four District Municipal Corporations (DMCs); West, Central, East and South. The schemes worth Rs. 500 million will work for increasing the infrastructure safety of the Metropolitan city.
During a press conference at the KMC, Waseem Akhtar stated that the development projects will involve repairing sewerage systems, construction of roads, and other schemes dealing with the city’s renovation.
He further said that about Rs. 178.83 have been allotted for seven schemes in District Central, Rs. 138.88 million for nine development projects in District East, Rs. 59.64 million for three projects in West and Rs. 119.99 million for six development projects in South.
Mayor Karachi also requested Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to work for the development of Pakistan’s economic hub and announce development projects in relevance.
He also revealed that the packages and proposals for the development of Karachi have already been sent to Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Sindh.
