Pakistan’s well-known and extremely talented batsman Umar Akmal has made a world record, albeit not a positive one. But, Mr. Akmal has managed to achieved the most unwanted of records by bagging “Most Ducks In T20 Cricket”.
Akmal’s second duck in the three PSL innings came from the courtesy of young yet talented player Hassan Ali, without even opening his run base. He was caught on slips by Mohammad Hafeez.
Umar Akmal’s third duck in PSL became his 24th in the entire T20 career of 203 innings including both domestic and international games.
Before Akmal, Dwayne Smith, Tillakaratne and Herschelle Gibbs had this record of 23 ducks in their T20 career. Thus, Umar Akmal has now achieved this world record of rather unpleasant nature.
