Pakistan Super League season 2 began with a full swing at Dubai International Stadium, with the opening ceremony leaving no stone un-turned to derive out the best entertainment packed with cricket.
All 5 teams; Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, and Quetta Gladiators; braced the event with a grand entry and it was a feat to be witnessed. From performances by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shehzad Roy, Ali Zafar and internationally acclaimed Shaggy to speaker bursting, power packed hosting by Fahad Mustafa, the jam-packed stadium was fully sold out and the spirit of the audience was worth appreciating for.
Apart from the exuberant celebrities, local Dubai dancers also performed on five different regionally popular songs to introduce five different provinces and teams of Pakistan.

The ceremony initially began with the national anthem of both UAE and Dubai, before commencing with the performances.

Dil Dil Pakistan was also played, reviving the spirit of nationalism in all along with leaving a hollow part in all of our hearts remembering Junaid Jamshed.

All in all, the opening ceremony was certainly the largest event recorded in the history of Pakistan maintaining the stance that no matter what we all are united on sports front. PSL 2 is off to a good start and we can expect it to be a treat for all the cricket lovers.
