Microsoft & Google misspelling their names intentionally. But why?

The campaign, #MissingType, which kicked off last year, is asking brands and individuals to remove the A’s, B’s and O’s from their names to highlight the lack of people signing up to donate blood. The campaign has gone international with 21 countries joining the call for blood donors with companies in Australia, America, South Africa, Japan, Belgium and Ireland all dropping their letters to support the cause.
