Maturity comes with experience, not age!

The literal meaning of maturity does not justify how deep it in actual is; in dictionary it says adulthood, full growth or puberty. When someone is funny or act childish, people tend to see them as immature, but do they know how mature he is in handling situations calmly, how he absorbs pressure, or how he takes decisions in life.

Being funny or acting childish doesn’t mean the person is not mature enough. It means he knows how to make people happy despite leaving his own problems behind. How can we define maturity of a person? Who is mature? Can we define it? Maturity will not come at a certain age, to make it clear first of all. A 30 year old adult may not be mature, while 18 year old teenager boy may be mature enough to realize his dreams.

Maturity is when you stop putting your Ego as a reaction to anyone’s wise suggestions. Maturity is when you realize that privacy matters! When you stop living in your dreams and instead start living your dreams! It’s when you start working hard for your dreams instead of wasting your time here and there. Maturity is when you start giving importance to knowledge! Maturity is when you learn to listen. Maturity is when you start considering the situations of the ones’ at the other end.

If you want to know how mature you are, analyze some basic signs, realizing how much you don’t know, listening more and talking less, being grateful and gracious, and not complaining. Being calm and peaceful, not desperate, frantic, or irrational. Finding joy in the success of someone else, not envy or criticism, not clinging to materialistic items or bragging, encouraging and being supportive of others. Maturity cannot be measured; it’s an attitude towards situation built by you.
