Is this the leadership we want for Pakistan's future?

After the long awaited return of Former President Asif Ali Zardari, the day finally arrived along with the expected VVIP arrangements. Once again the largest city of Pakistan and its people suffered from what you may call one of the worst days of their lives.

Mr. Asif Zardari, Chairman – Pakistan Peoples Party returned from Dubai after a long period of 18 months and ruined the peace of every individual living in Karachi; just to remember that the visit is less than 10 days. From extensive traffic jams to empty runways at the Jinnah International Airport Karachi; today’s VVIP culture beat all odds. Not only did citizens of Karachi face issues with road blockages, but people travelling to Karachi by air seemed to go through the same difficulty, as few flights were diverted from landing in the city to other locations claiming to be a cause of the heavy fog, but it seems to me as though there may be a whole other reason to it. All this for what…security?

Never did I think I would wish for this, but today I actually wanted Imran Khan to take over Karachi and implement the policy of NO VVIP CULTURE. When will we begin to foresee the future of Pakistan beyond this insecurity? Are these our brave leaders? Do they even have the authenticity of being called leaders?

So many questions, yet we always end up voting for the same people again and again – What a shame! How can we expect change when we ourselves keep voting for the same people? Do you actually think these same old “so-called leaders” will actually bring change in Pakistan? For a bigger and better Pakistan we need; new, visionary, bold, brave and thought provoking leaders and not these scared and insecure people who would ruin the lives of 2 crore individuals just to show their wealth and power.

Wake-up Karachi! Wake-up Pakistan!

Its time we actually say NO!
