Institute for Advancing Careers and Talents - Working for Pakistani youth

The Institute for Advancing Careers and Talents (iACT) is a not-for-profit career development center that offers free of cost as well as scholarship based courses training to underprivileged youth from marginalized areas of Karachi for better career prospects. Established in 2008, in Saudabad, Malir, it is a public-private partnership initiative between Habib University Foundation and local government of Karachi.

iACT in its quest to train the youth towards the brighter future of Pakistan, organized 6th Learning Expo 2017 on Sunday, April 16, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The INSPYRE Learning Expo was a full-day learning event for the youth. Featuring soft skills training, informative sessions by the professionals from fields such as photography, fashion designing, supply chain, sales and customer support, digital designing and marketing, sports and aerobics, the Learning Expo offered informative and fun experience in one place in one day.

In 2017, the learning expo had 30+ renowned trainers and speakers, while the attendance exceeded 2000 individuals. Highlights of the 6th INSPYRE Learning Expo included:

  • Career Based Skill Development Trainings
  • Technology Workshops
  • Personal Development Sessions
  • Sports & Fitness Coaching

Program director, Faheem Bukhari, Head Projects H.U.F on the occasion said:

“The purpose of this event is to facilitate youth on personal, career and TECHNICAL SKILLS and to enlighten them for better lives.”

The iACT put together extensive efforts to bring diverse trainers from different backgrounds in one place. It tried to connect learning with with fun, by engaging various top of the line trainers with youth for the betterment of their career.

In its quest to bring out a great change, numerous other events for the youth are already planned like, female youth conferences, Youth Consumer Awareness Program and Residential camps as well, and we know that they are going to add another feather to iACT’s cap.
