Governor Sindh Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui after an extensive period of ailment has died at a local hospital in Karachi.

Saeed-uz-Zaman’s unfortunate death was a result of chest pain and difficulty in breathing. The retired justice succumbed to his health at the age of 79.

The deceased replaced the longest-serving governor in Pakistan’s history, Ishratul Ibad on 11th November.

Siddiqui served as the Chief Justice of Pakistan during the 1994 Musharraf regime.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also expressed his utmost condolences over the death of the governor.
