Google Maps, in its attempt, to make its service more useful for the customers launched a feature called as ‘Popular Times’ last year. The feature was capable of showing the peak-hours for particular places, in order to make it convenient for the users to decide if they want to go to that specific crowded area or not. This time, the company has decided to provide instant, valuable information to all.
What it means is that, before making any plans, you would be able to assess if the place you are intending to visit is crowded or not and how longer will you have to wait in order to reach there.
Apart from the duration, the newly added feature will also show, usually, how much time people spend at that place you have searched.
Google Maps will build a profile for its database based on the visits the users made and the queries users had of a certain area.
As per the sources, it has been revealed that the update will roll out across Google, as early as next week.
