According to latest reports regarding the blasphemy case, Facebook has claimed to send a delegation to discuss with the Pakistani officials. The news came after the social media site was threatened to be permanently blocked if it does not cooperate in removing blasphemous content.
A spokesperson for the ministry told media reporters that Facebook has nominated a focal person to contact Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in this regard.
The Facebook administration has come to the conclusion that the issue may lead to a resolution after a proper and formal dialogue.
Recently, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan reached out to the administration of Facebook and Twitter and asked them to share information with Pakistan about the people alleged to be behind the blasphemous content.
The minister stressed upon the fact that the accused could not be caught without the full assistance and support of Facebook and other social networking websites.
