Facebook is reportedly planning to rebrand the company within a week as it aims to stress different aspects of its business. The announcement may be made at the Facebook Connect conference on 28 October or potentially even sooner.
This rebranding will place the blue Facebook app as one of the many products under the parent company overseeing groups like Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, and more. In addition, this would further separate the futuristic work from the current social media platform.
According to the report, the rebrand is aimed at reflecting the company’s push into the metaverse, a new way to connect people online leveraging augmented and virtual reality.
