When we enter the professional world and start our career, we always prefer to find easy and quick ways to reach the top. But that’s not how it works; you need experience and time to be successful. At the same time when you work in a place you normally attend meetings and when you attend those meeting you are notified to highlight or note down the important points so that next time you remember them. Normally people avoid the writing part because want to portray the image that they’re perfect and will remember whatever points discussed in the meeting. But let me tell you that its not actually true. Nobody is perfect. Here are some easy career hacks that can help you become a good analyst.
KEEP A NOTE PAD AND WRITE WHAT’S BEING DISCUSSED
When attending a meeting write down all the points discussed in the meeting. Mention the date, day and timing of the meeting so that next time it’s easy for you to find out what was discussed in the meeting. Normally your clients and boss gives you tasks to complete and if you note them down it becomes easy for you to actually execute it. If you’re not writing down the points or then it gives a message that you’re least interested and the person who is speaking to you or giving the points feels as if you’re taking less interest. So always keep a note pad with you and write.
GET ALL YOUR DATA ORGANIZED
A very well organized person is considered to be unique and stands out from all other employees. His desk is organized, all his data which is in his PC is organized according to date and divided into folders. Keeps all the notes up to date that is what makes him different from others and not just keeps you unique but also shows how much you’re interested and sincere with your work. Getting your data organized is another career hacks that’s very important.
FOLLOW THE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS AND RESEARCH
When given any task follow what your boss actually wants from you, try to ask questions wherever you feel like asking one. Then do some research and Google is the best answer for this. Research as much as you can and then start working on the given task.
KEEP A DOUBLE CHECK
The smartest person is the one who catches the unavoidable mistakes and fixes them. It’s critical to double- and triple-check your work. Pointing out a mistake actually gives a impression that you’re active and taking interest with your work.
Reminder, that’s one very important thing that you need to follow. If you have given any task to someone or someone gave you a task set up a reminder so that it doesn’t slip out of your mind.
Try to be nice and polite with your clients, co workers and even with your juniors.
This makes you different from others. Try to bring and come up with ideas every month and discuss with your team and those ideas should be beneficial for your company. Even if two of your ideas gets approves it motivates you more and other co workers will also take interest. Come up with ideas that are different from others and can actually help your company to achieve goals.
