Unilever doesn’t need an introduction. It is the largest company in Pakistan and is ranked as the highest taxpayer. On the other hand, Symmetry Group has been making its strong mark on the digital world. Receiving numerous awards including “Campaign Asia Agency of the Year Awards,” Symmetry has become leading digital marketing agency of Pakistan.
The purpose of introducing both the brands was that they have come up with an initiative to entice the Pakistani entertainment audience. Unilever Pakistan, along with the contribution by Symmetry Group, have launched the first Pakistani drama portal with legal and high quality content; named as DramaTime. The website will host the dramas from most of the famous news channels including Hum TV Network, APlus, ATV, Express Network, TV One and Urdu1. The website aims to make it easier for the audience to watch their content, digitally, through proper channel and without any piracy.
The launching event of the DramaTime was organized yesterday and the PR was handled by “BodyBeat Events and PR”. The event was hosted by, Mansha Pasha and Yasir Hussain with Chief Guests Sultana Siddiqui (CEO-Hum Network) and Bilal Lakhani (CEO-Express Group).
Chairperson and CEO – Unilever Pakistan, Shazia Syed, during the event said;
“Unilever is committed to ensure that we provide our consumers with the good quality and convenient solutions for their everyday needs. As a company that was established at the birth of this country, we are very close to our consumers and our Pakistani heritage. This portal is a reflection of just that. It provides our consumers easy and convenient access to hundreds of beloved Urdu dramas produced by the country on one site and conserves our TV industry heritage through a legal platform. We are very happy to be here with our partners for the launch of this initiative today.”
Director & Co-Founder Symmetry Group, Adil Ahmed, also expressed his excitement about DramaTime as;
“With tremendous growth of high speed data, smartphones, video, social media platforms and digitally enabled consumers, there is outpouring demand for high quality legal content in the country. Drama is certainly one of the most loved and popular content categories and it offers endless opportunities for the brands to connect with its consumers. Continuing its tradition of leading the marketing world, DramaTime is one of its kind initiatives by Unilever Pakistan where it has partnered with leading entertainment channels to entertain and engage the digital consumers across screens. We at Symmetry Group are thrilled and excited to be the digital partner on board to lead the product development, digital strategy and implementation of DramaTime.”
Unilever’s initiative is worth applauding. DramaTime will not only make it convenient for the audience to watch their favourite dramas, if missed out on TV; but it will promote the importance of legal and officially affiliated content in Pakistan as well. The idea behind this new portal by Unilever is unique and will help the company to make their mark on the digital world with the direct audience interaction.
