Android O Beta introduces new emoji, here is how to get them

Google has launched new and improved Android emoji, which will be rolling out with the company’s new mobile operating system.

Android O replaces the unusual, irregular emoji that arrived in KitKat, with much more good looking, circular versions.

Here is how the new emoji will look like:

The company will also drop some of its older Android conventions like won’t be using pink or red in emoji, in addition to bringing tonal strokes around the edges of all emoji as well as a variety of gradients.

While Google is yet to announce a launch date for the new emoji, Android O is expected to roll out in the second half of this year, however, you can download a developer beta version right now.

Google has also promised to release a feature that would let users install the new emoji on older reiterations of its mobile operating system.
