Ali Baba officials to invest $400 million in Pakistan

According to latest brands updates, Ali Baba officials are geared to make yet another visit to Pakistan in just a period of two months. It is claimed that they will be reaching here tomorrow, early morning.

As per reports, the Ali Baba delegation will be headed by Mr. Michael Evans, President and Director of Ali Baba, who looks after the company’s international growth strategy in globalizing the group and expansion plans outside China.

The delegation is likely to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Commerce Minister Mr. Khurram Dastagir Khan, Minister for IT & Telecom Ms. Anusha Rehman, along with other key designates in the capital.

Initially, Ali Baba showed its interest towards investing in Pakistan when Chairman Jack Ma met PM Nawaz Sharif a few months ago in Davos, Switzerland on the sidelines of World Economic Forum’s annual meeting.

The delegation is going to discuss finances, investment and other monetary issues. Then later on, meeting with IT Minister & Commerce Minister they will discuss various matters relating to Ali Baba’s plans in the country.

The group delegates are also going to meet Mr. Miftah Ismail, Chairman Board of Investment, and with Chairman NADRA.

Sources claim that the government hopes that the group will invest up to $400 million in Pakistan, in various segments. However, they have said to reveal all final plans after Ali Baba’s meetings with government officials.
