According to BBC news, it has been discovered that cocaine worth 50 million euros has been recovered from a Coca Cola plant in France. The bags of drugs was found among a delivery of orange juice concentrate, that had arrived in a box from South America.
An investigation team is under way in Signes, a village in southern France where the plant was located for more evidence and proof regarding the issue. The outburst of 370 kg of cocaine has made it one of the biggest controversial hit on the French soil.
The employees of the company have been dismissed for any investigation as traces for the origin of the drug is being investigated very sensitively.
“The first elements of the investigation have shown that employees are in no way involved,” said Jean-Denis Malgras, the regional president of Coca-Cola.
